About

There’s no better way to celebrate and regenerate our joy than over a great meal with our loved ones.

My Story

I’m Ali, a gluten-free-for-life Wife and Mom of two, who likes to think of myself as a foodie. While I suffered various health issues most of my life, it wasn’t until 2012 that I properly recognized my gluten intolerance.

After years of completely unsatisfying meals and an increasing appetite for tastier gluten-free options, I finally put my apron and chef’s hat on and started teaching myself how to bake not only myself but my whole family, happy again.

It was the single most positively impactful improvement to my life that I have ever made.

and I wish I had done it sooner.

I never fully realized what a misery my gluten intolerance was for my family until we started sharing everyday and special occasion foods together again.

I was always seeing my condition from my inside out, not from their insides. Family Life should not be full of comprises, there’s enough of that everywhere else we look. When it comes to family time, there is nothing like the joy of sharing a great meal together.

So once my baking really picked up, every time I made a new recipe that brought smiles and exaltations of “heck yeahhh!” from my family, I realized I needed to save them so I could repeat that kind of success again, or improve upon it just a little bit more.

My hope is that our favorite foods and recipes will bring you and your family the same kind of connection, joy, and belief that food can truly be blissfully fun again.

While eating gluten-free doesn’t mean you need to bake, those who have gone without deliciously homemade baked goods will tell you how much it means to them. Nothing says “I love you” like a homemade, delicious, gluten-free bun, cookie, or pizza someone made from their heart.

I know baking isn’t always easy, which is why I also share recipes that don’t require a lot of time, patience, or fancy gadgets.

Just maybe, you’ll find how much joy properly delicious homemade foods bring to your loved ones, and the more you do, you’ll want to try and experiment with new recipes that take you to new heights.
